The Quiet Strength of Resilience: Sept 26

Our friends at Congregation Micah are hosting a co-ed lunch and learn on Friday, Sept 26 featuring Ron Schwarz, the son of a German-born Jewish survivor (who is also the cousin of our church member, Carol Dashiff). Ron tells the story of his father who was a hidden child in France for 3.5 years before escaping into Switzerland at the end of 1942. Ron’s multimedia presentation includes original documents from the 1920s, 30s and 40s that he has gathered through his extensive research across museums, libraries and archives in Europe. In addition, he incorporates video clips of his father speaking about his experiences drawn from 5 hours of testimony that Ron recorded. Lunch begins at 12:00 PM. Presentation at 12:30 PM.
