As we look to 2026, Belle Meade UMC is projecting a budget of over $1.1 million to support the ministry, staff, and programming that we all value and love. We need your help with the church budget to make it match the vitality of our congregation!

Ministry Highlights of 2025

  • Sensory Easter and Sensory Santa: Children with special sensory needs and their families experienced holiday festivities in safe and fun environments.

  • Camp Belle Meade: We had another successful year of Camp Belle Meade. We provided 11 weeks of high-quality summer camp for kids in Kindergarten to 3rd Grade, many of whom came to more than one camp week.

  • Worship Without Walls: Over 200 people participated in Worship Without Walls, the Sunday after Easter, to complete 14 projects across the city.

  • Good Friday Service: We teamed again with other UMCs for a powerful worship service at Gordon Memorial UMC.

  • Hillwood Summer Pantry: Through our partnership with H.G. Hill Middle and the West Meade community, we helped run the Hillwood Summer Pantry, distributing thousands of dollars in groceries and diapers (provided by Nashville Diaper Connection). BMUMC volunteers participated, including children, youth, and adults.

  • New Members: 90 visitors officially joined the church this year, and we had 23 baptisms this year.

Where We’re Going

In addition to the church budget, we have concluded a multi-year capital campaign. We will start work on projects in three core areas: stained glass, accessibility, and aesthetics.

Stained Glass

Our 3,000 sq. ft. of stained glass in the Sanctuary is due for some restoration! This multi-year process includes removing the stained glass for repair and reinstalling it in new frames that allow for segmented removal.

Accessibility

Our accessibility improvements all center around the Sanctuary and Narthex. This includes exterior door improvements, enhanced steps to the Chancel, and a new backstage wheelchair ramp to the Chancel and Choir Loft.

Aesthetics

We will be enhancing the aesthetics of our worship spaces to accentuate their beauty! This includes new flooring and lighting in the Chapel and new pew cushions and repainted pews in the Sanctuary.
