Lent Sermon Series
Lent is a sacred season of 40 days in which we walk closely with Jesus through his ministry, death, and resurrection. This year, we will engage the stories of Jesus’ ministry through the five senses of sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch. Each worship service will have a tactile, sensory experience for congregants. We would love for you to join us in person or online at 8:30 or 10:30!
There are so many opportunities for spiritual growth on our journey through Lent!
1. Follow our Lent Reading Plan that shares the scriptures we will be using each Sunday.
2. Enjoy your free copy of The Sanctuary for Lent 2026 written by our very own Amy Sigmon! There is a Scripture reading, short devotion, and short prayer or practice for each day of Lent. Starting on Feb 15, you can grab one after worship, or find a copy on the front desk. In addition, you can download a digital copy right now at bellemeadeumc.org/lentdevo.
3. Join us on Wednesday nights from 6:15-6:50 PM in the Sanctuary or online. We will sing a hymn or song, hear a reflection from a lay speaker, and have an extended period of music for prayer and contemplation.
